The Romantic Getaway

Ağva is a beautiful resort a couple of hours' drive from central İstanbul. It is rich in natural beauty and features one of the wildest coastal scenery in Türkiye can be found around the village of Ağva. Here, two rivers flow into the Black Sea, and many picturesque wooden guesthouses and restaurants have sprung up along the banks. There are also hidden bays, ancient ruins and caves to discover in the area, if you don’t fancy swimming in the choppy, cool waters and are seeking to discover the hidden treasures of this delightful area.

Ağva is a quiet and romantic getaway popular with couples. A quiet weekend away might not be possible when there is offerings of the cosy cottages by the rivers, the chance to go fishing, or take a boat trip along the Göksu and Çanak streams, or if you fancy a refreshing walk along the beach and be sorely tempted by the fresh seafood by the water.

The unspoilt bays and small islands all around are a photographic dream starting with the public Ağva Beach about 5 km from the land and can be reached via the Bucaklı village road.

A little further out is Kilimli Bay, also known for its fine sandy beach and beautiful sea. 

The sea is very clean, and perhaps a little quieter and less undulating than Ağva beach.

Don’t miss The Bride Rock (Gelinkaya) in Kilimli Bay, so called because it is white and looks like a bride with a veil. At the back of Kilimli Bay is also the Kilimli Beach Campsite, an ideal place for camping lovers and trekkers wanting to make a short stop over and rest.

Although 13 km from the centre of Ağva, İmrenli Beach, located in İmrenli village, is also a quiet and peaceful beach. And a lovely spot to visit if you prefer blissful silence and just the sound of nature.

Camping in Ağva with its quiet bays and green areas where you can breathe the fresh air is one of the most beautiful places to go camping. Especially Kilimli Bay, one of the most idyllic spots to pitch up your tent or caravan. Here you can enjoy the camping experience in comfort with various facilities in the surrounding area.
