    Aydos Forest

The lesser-known Aydos Forest is a unique, refreshing recreation area and comprises Aydos Pond. In this spectacular place, you can drink your tea and picnic near the pond or gaze at the 537 m high Aydos Hill, the highest point in İstanbul. The forest was once used as a hunting ground during the Ottoman era, as it was abundantly covered with pine trees.

The entrance of the forest is popular with visitors, especially on weekends, but if you go further into the forest, you will find yourself in a place where you are surrounded by a quiet and peaceful feeling of greenery and nature.

Once you enter the forest, you have two options: the first is to walk along the pond, the second is to walk over the top of the hill. Choose one route per day as both lead in opposite directions. Aydos Hill has a beautiful view and is peacefully quiet. On the other side, there may be a few people picnicking around the pond, but it has more to offer, such as a little ride on the pond with the pedal boats and fishing.
