The Sumptuous Seaside  

Not too far away is Beylerbeyi, a beautiful seaside neighbourhood, close to Kuzguncuk to the north of Üsküdar sitting on the Bosphorus. The Beylerbeyi Palace, located under the Bosphorus Bridge, is the symbol and popular landmark of the neighbourhood. There are also many beautiful mosques, mansions, boutique residences, and restaurants to visit in the area around the port.  

Beylerbeyi served as the summer residence of the sultans and as a house for foreign diplomats and was built to impress with magnificent and functional interiors. From exquisite carpets to consoles with mother-of-pearl inlays, every piece of furniture is perfectly placed. The ceilings are decorated with either floral motifs, nautical scenes, or Koran inscriptions. With an eye for detail, each room has a unique French Baccarat chandelier.
