We Build Bridges 

Considered the “Pearl of the Straits” and ensuring traffic between the Asian and European continents, The Bosphorus Bridge also referred to as ‘15 Temmuz Şehitler Köprüsü,’ adds an unmistakable beauty to the city skyline. One of its piers stands in Beylerbeyi, the other in Ortaköy. A favourite photo opportunity is the sight of the bridge when it is illuminated at night. 

The bridge has been the scene for some unusual sights too, a famous exhibition tennis match between the brightest talents of the Tennis scene, a Sunday drive by a world-famous Formula One racing driver, and the regular cross-continental events such as the Tour of Turkey and the İstanbul Marathon. The latter offers visitors and locals the rare opportunity to walk across the Bosphorus Bridge during the day. Imagine standing 64 metres up in the middle of the Bosphorus and enjoying the view of İstanbul and the two continents of Europe and Asia at the same time. Simply breathtaking and exhilarating! 

The Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, popularly known as the ‘Second Bosphorus Bridge,’ spans the Bosphorus strait between Hisarüstü and Kavacık. Compared to the Bosphorus Bridge, it is located a little further north. At night, these two suspension bridges are always lit up with colourful lights, ranging from monochrome to a complete rainbow.

The Fifth Tallest Bridge in the World 

Now if you thought the first two bridges were impressive, wait until you cross The Third bridge (Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge) on the approach to the Black Sea. 

Measuring an incredible 1056ft high, it is also in the record books for also being one of the widest suspension bridges in the world, and truly an incredible feat of engineering.
